The candidates who are fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for Act Apprenticeship:-

1. The minimum eligibility criteria for applying for Act Apprenticeship shall be a National Trade Certificate after successfully completion of ITI Course.
2. The candidates will be considered for engagement as Act Apprentice only in the trades in which they have completed their ITI. ITI certificate issued by NCVT only will be valid.
3. Reservation of seats for SC, ST & OBC candidates will be 15%, 7.5% and 27 % respectively.
4. 3% of vacancies are reserved each for Physically Handicapped persons and Exservicemen, their children and children of armed force personnel.
5. Candidates are to be of 15 to 24 years of age as on 17.06.2013. In case of trades Welder and Carpenter where qualification is 8th class the upper age limit will be 22 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years and 03 years in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates respectively & 10 years for physically handicapped persons.
6. i) Enrollment with Emplopyment Exchange of Punjab is must except for Wards of employees of RCF/Kapurthala.
   ii) Only ST Candidates belonging to Himachal Pradesh / Jammu & Kashmir & Uttarakhand are eligible to apply having enrolment with Employment Exchange of their respective States.
7. Stipend will be paid as per extant rules.
